People these days suffer from over promotion almost every site they visit they get bombarded with banner or Google type ads while these may make you some income,
There are better ways that will improve your click through conversion.

Here are some points to consider in how you present your ads.

Write the features and benefits of the product you are promoting and explain how it will benefit the potential buyer. Try and find a problem, need or want that the product provides. Long gone are the days of just putting a text or image link and getting sales.

You need to provide information that will convince the buyer into buying the product and nothing works better than a recommendation of what it achieved for you and others that why review type sites work better in general than sending people to long sales pages.

By adding some bonus products that enhance what you’re selling and a call to action you’re more likely to turn your visitors into buyers.

With digital products a great way to pre-sell your visitor is to give them a few sections of your product free or set up a demo so they can see the benefits and features you have already outlined.

Then have a follow up system to remind them to buy after they get your free trial.

Follow up with your customers and see if they were satisfied with the product have some way of them giving you feedback if a number of them report a problem then contact the affiliate program owner and ask them if they can make changes to address this.

Then update the content to show this problem and how it was fixed. If your customers are happy then ask them for testimonials offer them a link back to their site as an incentive to for them to give it to you.

Ask for the sale there is an old saying if you don’t ask you don’t get and this really applies to marketing. What works in retail also works online.

Years ago I taught sales staff from several companies how to sell I asked them how they greeted their customer and the most common reply was “ do you need any help” and the usual response was no thanks I’m just looking. This failed to engage their prospective buyer.

If they had used feature and benefit selling they could of engaged the customer more and opened the door for the customer to feel ok about approaching them later.

Here is an example I taught staff in a large department store how to use benefit and feature selling you see a customer looking at a television walk up to them and say hello introduce yourself and then give them the remote. Show them how to use the remote to access the features of the television for example, zoom in, parental lock, sleep timer are all features the benefits of these are you can lock the remote so children can’t change your setting, You can set the TV to turn off at a set time interval which is great if you fall asleep in front of the TV. Zoom in might encourage your children not to sit so close to the TV and you can arrange your furniture further away and still get the same view.

Feature and benefit selling is something you can use online in your sales copy and also in your follow up.

Here is an example of how I use it I sell a product for mass submitting articles to hundreds of directories I made two videos one of features and the second I showed the benefits of how I used those features to prosper.

I then added a call to action by showing them bonuses and telling them how they could get them. This has to lead to a massive conversion ratio of three sales for every 100 visitors.

I added even more sales by following up with even more feature and benefits both using articles and video and with another call to action. I also again ask for the sale.

If you have at the forefront of your mind the objective you want from each visitor and a strategy of achieving this then you need to find reasons why the customer should do what you want them too. If its their email address you want then give them a reason for giving it too you.

Try to look at how you structure your advertising and get other opinions from different people do they trust the site, Do you explain the features and benefits in enough detail. Is your call to action compelling enough and do you install a sense of them needing to do it now this point is crucial and is the difference between them buying or bookmaking your site and then forgetting to comeback.

You can increase the trustworthiness of your site by adding a privacy policy, an anti spam policy and a returns or refund policy

Lastly always remember most people don’t buy on the first visit it is vital to be able to follow up with them having a sign up form for more information along with a call to action is the best way to achieve this
